Sara Homan (left) has been teaching private sewing lessons for children and adults since 2007 and taught for Santa Cruz Adult School from 2012 – 2017. She is also trained in sewing machine repair. She comes from a long line of seamstresses, knitters, and crafty women. What she loves best about teaching is helping people understand how sewing machines work and how to troubleshoot and prevent problems. She also really enjoy teaching kids skills, giving them raw material and seeing what they do with it. She finds it delightful to see their creative ideas. Her personal sewing projects are mostly garments, though she also has experience with quilting and home dec.
Heddi Craft (center) is a knitwear designer, lifelong fiber artist, and teacher. She learned to crochet when she was six years old, and went on to sew clothes and quilts, create costumes, cross stitch, and dabble in a variety of other crafts. She has a Master’s degree in Education and a certificate in teaching adult learners. She’s been knitting for over a decade and began teaching knitting two years ago. She loves working with students of all ages and skill levels and is confident in variety of styles and methods of knitting. Her goal is to help students find the way to knit that works the best for them and help them to accomplish their creative goals.
Sara Jessen (right) has been Knitting for 15+ years. Her Auntie introduced her to the fiber arts world when she was 3 and she was hooked! Sara loves teaching and sharing her passion with all. She loves to help knitters challenge themselves in new ways whether it’s the daunting task of a well fitted sweater, those scary cables, or learning brioche. Sara has been teaching both kids and adults since 2011.
